    Jason Benkendorf

    Executive Director

    Jason Benkendorf has been the Executive Director of American University Hillel since 2011. He came to Hillel following five years with The Curriculum Initiative (TCI), an organization that supports inclusive Jewish programming at independent high schools. Jason previously served as Senior Officer of Public and Academic Affairs at the Embassy of Israel, during which time he worked closely with student activists at AU and other DC area campuses. He has also been involved with BBYO in a variety of capacities over the last fifteen years. A passion for public service brought Jason to DC, and he received his BA in political science from the AU School of Public Affairs. He subsequently completed an MBA at Johns Hopkins University with a concentration in organization development. Jason is a devoted Washington Nationals fan, a summer camp enthusiast and a lover of flip-flops. 

  • Molly Cram

    Director of Engagement

    Molly Cram joined the AU Hillel team in summer 2015 as the Director of Engagement. Molly is an Oregon native and holds a degree in international relations from the University of St Andrews (Scotland).  She previously worked for a disability rights organization and, most recently, spent a year living and working with an Ethiopian community in Israel.  Molly loves talking about Jewish identity, food, human rights activism and British culture.

  • Meidan Keidar

    Jewish Agency Israel Fellow

    Meidan Keidar is AU Hillel's Jewish Agency Israel Fellow, helping students learn about and travel to the State of Israel.  A Haifa native, Meidan served in Israel's Air Force Central Command before receiving her degree in communications from the Max Stern Academic College.  She previously served as a community shlicha (emissary) in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
